A special plastic with special properties: Murdotec® 1000 white ESD combines great electrical dissipativity with a natural coloured surface. Since – unlike conventional black plastics – no dark abrasion can occur, the new plastic is the ideal material for food, medical and clean room technology. Murdotec® 1000 white ESD is used wherever hygiene and electrical conductivity have to be combined. Its base material is our premium product Murdotec® 1000 UHMW-PE.
Compliant with ATEX, our new special material is characterized by a lower limit for surface resistance. This is in a range from 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω. It is therefore particularly suitable for ESD-sensitive products (ESDS). Murdotec® 1000 white ESD can also be used in ESD protection areas in accordance with the IEC 61340-5-1 and DIN EN 61340-5-1 standards. Due to its EU approval, Murdotec® white ESD is also suitable for use in contact with food.

The premium UHMW-PE with a molecular weight of 5 million g/mol is characterised by its very good wear and abrasion resistance. Murdotec® 1000 has excellent impact and shock resistance, very good resistance to chemicals, good anti-adhesion properties, a low density, and a low coefficient of friction. It also has very good electrical insulation and dielectric properties (except for static dissipation and conductive types), good resistance to radiated energy (gamma and X-ray radiation), and is great for machining. It is physiologically safe, approved by the FDA, and can be supplied in various RAL colours on request.
